Thai conglomerate MM Mega Market Vietnam, a subsidiary of the TCC Group, has proposed a commercial-services project in Phú Thọ Province at the junction of Nguyen Tat Thanh Street and Ly Thai To Street in the Vĩnh Phúc ward.
Phú Thọ Province’s People’s Committee Chairman, Trần Duy Đông, discussed the proposal with MM Mega Market Vietnam and praised the investment potential and incentives offered by the province, recommending approval for the project location.
After reviewing the reports, provincial authorities agreed in principle to proceed with the project. Chairman Trần Duy Đông assigned the Finance, Agriculture and Environment departments, the Provincial Investment Promotion Center, and the Vĩnh Phúc ward to review zoning, support the investor with legal procedures, and expedite land clearance to ensure compliance with the law and speed up implementation.
The province said the project is expected to contribute to trade facilitation, strengthen supply-demand linkages, and support Phú Thọ’s economic and social development.
By 2050, Phú Thọ aims to become a centrally administered city. Under a resolution on the rearrangement of provincial administrative units approved by the National Assembly on 12/06/2025, Phú Thọ Province will be formed by merging Vĩnh Phúc, Hòa Bình, and Phú Thọ into a new province also named Phú Thọ.
After the consolidation, Phú Thọ is expected to cover over 9,361 km² and have a population of more than 4 million. The province is positioned as a growth pole for the capital region and the northern midland and mountainous area, with a focus on becoming a center for industry, commerce, logistics, tourism, healthcare, high-quality education, and large-scale cultural events, including hosting national and international events.
Phú Thọ’s plan sets a target for GRDP growth of about 11–12% per year in 2026–2030, with GRDP more than doubling compared with the 2025 level. Looking toward 2050, the locality aims to have advanced infrastructure, a prosperous society, and a dynamic economy integrated into global supply chains, supported by a cultural economy anchored in the homeland’s rich and unique heritage.
