After decades working with international car brands, Mr. Do Tien Dung, chairman of Hanoi Green Auto Services Joint Stock Company (Haxaco), has shifted resources to VinFast’s authorized dealership network. The move has supported rapid expansion across multiple provinces, with plans to open about six more dealerships in 2026.
Mr. Dung said the decision is driven by the real and fast-developing electric vehicle trend. With 32 years in the automotive business and a management team where each member has more than 20 years of experience, he said the company understands the market well and sees VinFast as the brand that best matches current demand in Vietnam.
He also framed the pivot as both a social responsibility and a strategic step toward strengthening a Vietnamese automotive brand.
Since switching to VinFast, Haxaco’s network has expanded quickly. The company currently operates 10 dealerships in strategic locations.
In the near term, Haxaco plans to open new outlets in Bac Ninh (formerly Bac Giang), Ninh Binh (formerly Nam Dinh), Tay Ninh (formerly Long An) and Chau Doc (An Giang). For 2026, the company aims to work with VinFast to open about six additional dealerships.
Mr. Dung said the market is diverse, with multiple brands coexisting and serving distinct customer bases, but VinFast is growing strongly in Vietnam. He attributed part of the momentum to VinFast’s electric-focused direction, which he said appeals to modern customers.
To build consumer trust, Haxaco emphasizes hands-on experience. The company offers free breakfast and coffee at all dealerships nationwide on Saturdays and Sundays, creating an environment for test drives and customer conversations.
Mr. Dung pointed to dealership performance as evidence of the strategy. In Q4 2025 and Q1 2026, all 10 dealerships earned VinFast’s “Excellent Dealer” title.
He said the recognition requires meeting both total sales targets and quality targets across the full range of models, from the VF3, VF5 and VF6 to the higher-end VF7, VF8 and VF9. He added that the results indicate the network’s customer service direction is aligned with expectations.
On the broader electric vehicle outlook, Mr. Dung said it is difficult to guarantee outcomes with certainty, but he believes the shift toward green energy is an inevitable global trend given energy security concerns and volatile fuel prices. He expects electric vehicles—especially VinFast products—to grow strongly over the next 3–5 years.
