Viettel Global Joint Stock Company (Viettel Global, ticker: VGI) has released materials for its 2026 annual general meeting of shareholders, scheduled for the afternoon of April 23 in Hanoi. The company targets the highest revenue since its inception, supported by expansion into new digital services, increased investment in the Dominican Republic, and a proposed cash dividend.
For 2026, Viettel Global expects pretax profit to decline by 12.5% to VND 13.275 billion. The company attributes the decrease mainly to exchange rate fluctuations arising from the revaluation of foreign-currency monetary items at year-end.
Viettel Global said it will continue expanding into new services, including express delivery, transportation and logistics across Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar. It will also research development in infrastructure leasing and solar energy.
On connectivity and infrastructure, the company aims to commercialize 5G in eight of nine international markets (excluding Mytel). It also plans to build data centers meeting at least Tier III standards and develop a cloud computing ecosystem, with deployment planned from 2027.
In the digital content segment, Viettel Global plans to develop television services by licensing content for Asia and the Americas. The company cited potential partners including Netflix, Cartoon Network, Discovery, or Warner TV.
It will also cooperate with Viettel Media to create a shared content repository to reduce copyright costs by 30–70% and shorten negotiation times.
For digital financial services, Viettel Global will implement a four-step roadmap: electronic wallet, digital payments ecosystem, digital financial services, and digital banking.
Viettel Global plans to intensify overseas investment in 2026, highlighting efforts to negotiate a telecommunications franchising contract in the Dominican Republic and to establish a local subsidiary to execute the project.
In addition to its existing activities, the board will propose four new lines of business for shareholder approval: resale of telecommunications services; IT infrastructure and data processing; computer services; and wholesale of agricultural and forestry raw materials.
On profit distribution, Viettel Global expects to spend more than VND 10.044 billion to pay cash dividends for 2025, corresponding to a 33% dividend rate. The company said each share will receive VND 3,300.
