Having lived in Vietnam for more than two decades, Korean entrepreneur Yoon Hugh has built a business presence while also positioning himself as a cultural bridge between Korea and Vietnam. A key milestone in that journey is the development of the TokTok home appliance brand, alongside the TokTokCare service platform.
Yoon Hugh has lived in Vietnam for over 20 years and began the home appliance business in 2010, introducing Korean brands including Coway, SK Magic, and Winix to Vietnamese consumers. He also led early efforts to implement TokTokCare in Vietnam through a rental model and regular maintenance (membership) services for household appliances.
According to Yoon Hugh, TokTokCare has been developed in Korea and brought to Vietnam, and the company is now launching the TokTok Korean home appliance brand based on the TokTokCare platform.
TokTok’s stated mission is to improve health for Vietnamese consumers by offering high-quality water purifiers, air purifiers, and electronic bidet seats. The brand is positioned as part of a health-and-convenience ecosystem built on the TokTokCare service foundation.
Yoon Hugh said the name “TokTok” is the Korean pronunciation of the word “Smart.” He added that the brand was designed to reflect an intelligent approach and a prudent consumer choice. He also cited market conditions in Vietnam: the water purifier market has matured, while demand for electronic bidet seats is growing rapidly. Based on this, the company chose these two product lines to form the initial health-and-convenience ecosystem.
For its entry into the Vietnamese market, TokTok considered options to align with a “Smart” brand image. The company selected football as a key cultural reference point, and signed a brand ambassador contract with Coach Kim Sang Sik, described as a coach known for a smart strategic approach.
Yoon Hugh said he envisions TokTok expanding beyond individual consumers to serve enterprise and organizational customers as well. He also indicated that the brand will broaden its product lines for multiple customer segments, with planned products including water purifiers, air purifiers, and electronic bidet seats.
He added that household products will expand to the global market in the near future, and consumers can stay updated at https://toktokcare.com.
Beyond business responsibilities, Yoon Hugh said he continues to support cultural and social exchange activities in Vietnam, including leadership roles in Korean business associations and efforts to connect communities. He also referenced work with Korean stars, support for cultural events and concerts, and participation in corporate social responsibility initiatives, including support for Vietnamese child welfare programs.
He further stated that he plans to bring a major concert to Vietnamese fans and youth as part of a World Tour by late 2026.

Premium gym chains are entering a “golden era” that is ending or already in decline, as rising operating costs collide with shifting consumer preferences toward more flexible, community-based ways to exercise. Long-term memberships are shrinking, margins are pressured by higher rents and facility expenses, and competition from smaller, more personalized…
