MetLife Foundation has announced new grant recipients under its Community Impact Grant Program (CIGP), with a total global budget of more than USD 6.5 million implemented worldwide, including Vietnam. The program supports nonprofit organizations providing essential services and resources to help people build stronger financial foundations and improve resilience amid changing conditions.
CIGP, launched in 2023 and expanded globally in 2025, funds organizations with solutions focused on food security, mental health, and environmental and sustainable community development. For this year’s grant cycle, more than 100 nonprofit organizations worldwide were selected.
In Vietnam, two representative organizations received a total grant of USD 150,000 (about VND 3.7 billion):
Elena Butarova, CEO of BIDV MetLife, said: “We are very pleased to partner with the grantees from MetLife Foundation in implementing meaningful initiatives in Vietnam. Through this collaboration, BIDV MetLife hopes to contribute to spreading positive values, supporting sustainable community development and improving quality of life.”
As in previous years, CIGP involves MetLife employees worldwide in evaluating and selecting grantees. Since its launch, the program has awarded more than USD 9 million to 207 nonprofit organizations, reaching over 1.6 million people in the US, Asia, Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East.
The announcement positions the grants as part of MetLife Foundation’s ongoing effort to promote inclusive economic mobility, improve financial health, and build more resilient communities facing challenges.
