The National Assembly approved the government’s organizational structure for the 16th National Assembly term on the morning of April 7, following its discussion and voting during the First Session.
Continuing the program of the First Session of the 16th National Assembly, the National Assembly met privately on April 7 to hear the briefing and appraisal report on the government’s structure for the 16th term. It then discussed and voted on the content of the government’s organizational structure for the 16th term using electronic voting.
Voting outcome: 488/488 delegates voted in favor (100% of MPs present, 97.6% of the total number of MPs).
After hearing a presentation by Permanent Committee member Le Quang Manh on the draft Resolution on the government’s organization for the 16th term, the National Assembly proceeded to vote on the Resolution using electronic voting.
Resolution vote outcome: 488/488 voted in favor (100% of MPs present, 97.6% of total MPs).
Accordingly, the National Assembly approved a government organizational structure for the 16th term consisting of 14 ministries and 3 ministerial-level agencies, including:
The current government has 9 Deputy Prime Ministers, including two Deputy Prime Ministers who are part of the 14th Central Committee: Pham Thi Thanh Tra and Ho Quoc Dung. Deputy PM Tra serves as the party’s Central Secretariat secretary and is a deputy to the 16th National Assembly.
The remaining seven Deputy Prime Ministers are not part of the 14th Central Committee: Nguyen Hoa Binh, Tran Hong Ha, Le Thanh Long, Ho Duc Phoc, Bui Thanh Son, Nguyen Chi Dung, and Mai Van Chinh.
