Vitria Technology announced an autonomous network-operations initiative ahead of FutureNet World London 2026, introducing its Autonomous Knowledge Plane with Self-Evolving Knowledge. The company said the approach represents a shift from probabilistic AI toward knowledge-driven, explainable, and increasingly autonomous operations.
Vitria said telecom providers moving toward 5G-Advanced and Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) are finding traditional, data-centric methods less effective because they can be context-poor. The company argued that existing observability and AIOps platforms can detect and correlate events, but often lack a true understanding of system relationships and dependencies. Vitria said it addresses this gap by embedding self-evolving knowledge into the operational workflow to ground AI agents in real-world network, service, and operational context, aiming to reduce ambiguity and the “trust gap” that can slow autonomy.
At the center of the announcement is the VIA Knowledge Plane, described as a continuously evolving knowledge layer that integrates telemetry, topology, and institutional knowledge. Vitria said the system autonomously mines CMDBs, logs, metrics, and historical incidents to build dynamic ontologies using W3C semantic standards.
The company said the resulting knowledge-driven digital twin captures relationships across infrastructure, virtualized functions, and services, enabling AI to reason, act, and improve over time.
“Autonomous operations require more than data—they require understanding. As agentic AI raises the stakes, operating without that understanding is no longer a limitation—it's a liability,” said Dr. Dale Skeen, co-founder and CTO of Vitria Technology. “Vitria's Self-Evolving Knowledge Plane transforms AIOps from a system of reporting to system of understanding that enables Agentic AI to reason across complex systems, act with precision, and improve outcomes over time—delivering a credible path to autonomous operations.”
Vitria said the impact is intended to be immediate in complex, cross-domain scenarios. In a recent deployment, the company reported that it traced degraded user experience in the radio network to resource constraints in a virtualized transport-layer router, pinpointing the root cause across layers and triggering automated remediation.
According to Vitria, the outcome included up to 80% faster resolution and a 50–80% reduction in manual effort.
Vitria said VIA AIOps is deployed in some of the world’s largest networks. The company reported 95%+ incident resolution rates, high levels of automation, and the ability to detect and resolve issues before customer impact.
Vitria Technology said it will showcase these innovations at FutureNet World London in April 2026. Media contact listed by the company: Ava Spinale, Marketing Manager, Vitria.

Premium gym chains are entering a “golden era” that is ending or already in decline, as rising operating costs collide with shifting consumer preferences toward more flexible, community-based ways to exercise. Long-term memberships are shrinking, margins are pressured by higher rents and facility expenses, and competition from smaller, more personalized…
