Web3 digital asset trading platform Websea has confirmed it will participate in the Hong Kong Web3 Festival 2026 as a Primary Exhibition Sponsor. The four-day event is scheduled for April 20-23 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre and is co-hosted by Wanxiang Blockchain Labs and HashKey Group.
On April 8, BlockBeats News reported that Websea confirmed its sponsorship for the upcoming Hong Kong Web3 Festival 2026. Websea will take part as a Primary Exhibition Sponsor, a designation within the festival’s multi-tier sponsorship structure below the Title, Platinum, Diamond, and Gold tiers.
According to the report, the sponsorship was initially described in the headline as “first-level,” but verified sources indicate the correct designation is Primary Exhibition Sponsor. OKX is listed as Title Sponsor, while Qtum and TokenPocket are at the Platinum tier.
Websea officially launched on August 28, 2023. The platform positions itself as a trading venue targeting global youth and offers a futures insurance product intended to mitigate derivatives trading risk. Websea also states it holds regulatory licenses in the US, Canada, and Australia, and offers futures trading with leverage up to 1:100.
For a platform under three years old, taking an exhibition-level sponsorship at one of Asia’s major blockchain industry events suggests an effort to increase regional brand visibility. Websea’s youth-focused exchange positioning may differentiate it from more established competitors, while the festival provides access to institutional audiences that may not overlap with its core user base.
The move may also reflect an intent to broaden reach beyond existing users into Asia’s institutional crypto market. Hong Kong has been actively positioning itself as a global crypto hub following its regulatory framework for virtual asset service providers, making the festival a strategic venue for platforms seeking legitimacy.
The sponsorship follows a broader pattern in which crypto platforms use major conference sponsorships to strengthen credibility. MEET48, for example, recently secured a Diamond Sponsor role at the same event.
The festival, organized by W3ME, expects up to 400 speakers across its four-day program. It brings together blockchain infrastructure projects, crypto asset platforms, and institutional participants.
Previous editions of the festival from 2023 through 2025 collectively drew over 100,000 visitors and generated more than 400 side events. The Hong Kong Trade Development Council is listed as a strategic partner.
A Globe Newswire press release states that the 2026 speaker lineup includes leaders from BlackRock, OKX, Solana, Sharplink, and Ondo, indicating a broader institutional presence compared with earlier editions that leaned more heavily toward crypto-native audiences.
The article also points to continued growth in the stablecoin ecosystem feeding into events like this. It notes that Ethereum’s stablecoin supply recently reached $180 billion, reflecting increasing capital flows that make institutional engagement with Web3 events more commercially relevant.
While Websea’s participation is confirmed, the article states that specific details—such as booth presence, speaking slots, or other event activations—have not been announced. It also notes that no direct statements from Websea executives about the sponsorship rationale have been made public.
Key monitoring points include official agenda mentions of Websea representatives, any product launches or partnership announcements timed to the festival, and whether Websea secures speaking opportunities alongside higher-tier sponsors.
With the festival set for April 20-23, there is roughly a two-week window for additional sponsor announcements and agenda finalization.
Websea is a Primary Exhibition Sponsor, positioned below the top tiers. The top tiers include OKX as Title Sponsor, Qtum and TokenPocket at Platinum, ZA Bank at Diamond, and VeZoom and AltLayer at Gold.
The festival runs April 20-23, 2026 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. It is co-hosted by Wanxiang Blockchain Labs and HashKey Group, with W3ME handling event organization.
