With the approval of the State Bank of Vietnam (NHNN), Nam A Bank Joint Stock Company (Nam A Bank, HOSE: NAB) has appointed Mr. Trần Khải Hoàn as Chief Executive Officer, effective from 10 April 2026.
The Nam A Bank Board of Directors issued an official appointment decision naming Mr. Trần Khải Hoàn as CEO, effective from 10/04/2026. The move is intended to strengthen the bank’s senior management team and meet development requirements in the new phase.
Mr. Trần Khải Hoàn was born in 1978 and holds an MBA. He has more than twenty years of experience in the financial and banking sector. Prior to joining Nam A Bank, he held several senior positions at other credit institutions.
At Nam A Bank, Mr. Hoàn has held multiple key roles, including Director of the Business Center, Deputy CEO, Deputy CEO and Chairman of the Limited Liability Company for Debt Management and Asset Realization, and Acting Deputy CEO. Since March 2024, he has served as a Board member and Acting CEO, continuing to lead the bank.
By the end of 2025, Nam A Bank’s total assets reached VND 418,333 billion, up 311% from the start of his term. Consolidated pre-tax profit was VND 5,254 billion, up 522% versus 2020. The bank has also officially joined the group of the 15 largest banks in the system.
Nam A Bank has expanded cooperation with international financial institutions, aiming to enhance governance, access high-quality capital, and deepen participation in the global financial value chain. The bank also emphasizes two strategic pillars: digital transformation and green finance, including investments in technology, completion of its digital ecosystem, and increased lending for sustainable projects.
In March, a senior Nam A Bank leadership delegation conducted activities to connect, promote, and collaborate with international organizations including Proparco, IFC, Banque Populaire (France), Commerzbank (Germany), CaixaBank, and Sabadell (Spain).
During these activities, Nam A Bank officially joined the Global Trade Finance Program (GTFP) under the International Finance Corporation (IFC). IFC also plans to implement a trade finance package worth USD 50 million for Nam A Bank. In parallel, Nam A Bank is working with Proparco to pursue green finance development and mobilization, projected at USD 30 million.
On his appointment as CEO, Mr. Trần Khải Hoàn said: “In the new position, I and the Nam A Bank leadership are committed to continuing to lead the organization on a basis of flexible governance, focusing on efficiency and innovation, using leadership ability, execution speed, and market adaptability as drivers of development across the organization. This will not only promote growth in scale but also create sustainable value for shareholders, partners, customers, and the community. At the same time, we will actively expand growth space, enhance international integration in line with international standards, and continue to elevate Nam A Bank’s standing in the market.”
