The Gross Law Firm has issued a notice to shareholders of REGENXBIO Inc. (NASDAQ: RGNX) regarding a potential class action and the possibility of appointment as lead plaintiff. Shareholders who purchased shares of RGNX during the class period listed are encouraged to contact the firm about possible lead plaintiff appointment. Appointment as lead plaintiff is not required to participate in any recovery.
Class period: February 9, 2022 to January 27, 2026.
Allegations: The complaint states that defendants provided investors with information about REGENXBIO’s plan to develop and commercialize RGX-111, a one-time gene therapy intended to treat severe Mucopolysaccharidosis Type I (Hurler syndrome).
The complaint alleges that defendants’ statements included positive assertions about RGX-111’s future trial success, citing continuing positive biomarker and safety data from an ongoing Phase I/II study. It further alleges that these statements were made while defendants disseminated false and misleading statements and/or concealed material adverse facts related to the efficacy and safety of RGX-111.
On January 28, 2026, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration placed a clinical hold on RGX-111. The complaint states that REGENXBIO announced an intraventricular CNS tumor was found in a participant treated in the RGX-111 Phase I/II study.
Following the announcement, REGENXBIO’s stock declined from a closing price of $13.41 on January 27, 2026 to $11.01 on January 28, 2026, representing a 17.8% single-day drop.
Deadline: April 14, 2026.
The firm states that shareholders should not delay in registering for the class action. After registering as a shareholder who purchased shares of RGNX during the listed timeframe, shareholders will be enrolled in a portfolio monitoring software program to provide status updates throughout the case lifecycle.
The deadline to seek to be a lead plaintiff is also April 14, 2026. The firm states there is no cost or obligation to participate.
