Da Nang market management authorities have fined seven businesses with a total of more than 215 million dong for selling counterfeit fashion brand products.
On April 10, the Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade’s Market Management Sub-Department said it had completed processing seven shops in Son Tra ward and Hoi An. In addition to the fines, the authorities required the establishments to destroy all seized items in accordance with regulations.
During an inspection at the beginning of April, Market Management Team No. 2 seized 295 bags bearing signs of counterfeiting of Gucci, Chanel, Hermès, Fendi, and 27 Nike sports shoes.

Market management authorities added that repeat offenders or violators may be referred to investigating authorities if there are signs of criminal activity.
Authorities are also strengthening outreach to help business owners comply with the law and to guide consumers on how to recognize counterfeit goods and low-quality products.
